First of all, thank you to all of you who sent me such supportive e-mails regarding my post last week. I didn’t expect it to be such a hit but I will definitely keep that sort of content coming, especially since it’s a nice change of pace from all the artwork.
STEAL MY IDEAS
Something I started in the past few days is a “Steal My Idea” thread on Facebook. In short, I have a bunch of ideas, some good, some bad, but most are unrealistic for me to pursue due to time and resource constraints. So, I”m offering up my ideas in hopes that someone has the resources to make it a reality, and then sell me the product or service I’ve always wanted. You can see the first three ideas here. The overall objective is to encourage others to do the same with ideas they will never execute, since we are all better off collaborating. Seriously, there’s nothing to lose.
THE POWER OF PINTEREST
I have to admit I was a little hesitant to join Pinterest, the latest rage in social networking sites. It’s been dominated by women from day one, so I figured I’d be joining a small tribe of gullable husbands and boyfriends. Not only did I find a delectable recipe for Reese’s Krispies (click here!), my artwork was discovered by a super nice woman in California who commissioned a drawing for her one year wedding anniversary. It was a gift for her husband to set in his office, so we agreed on a 5×7 image, combining two of their wedding photos into one. Here’s how it turned out. Congratulations to the Otte’s!
