Article: Thank you for an incredible 2023!

Thank you for an incredible 2023!

Thank you for an incredible 2023!

Considering it is the last day of 2023, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for an incredible year! So much happened that I had to look back at my calendar to remind me of all of the exciting projects, fundraisers and travel that took place.

The year began and ended with group art shows. I participated in six total, including the Palm Beach County Cultural Council’s Biennial and Miami Beach during the week of Art Basel. I love shows because I get to share my work in person with art lovers, befriend fellow artists, and gain inspiration from their talent.

About half of my projects are commissions for private collectors, and this year I had the honor of creating pieces for several different occasions: a Hall of Fame induction, wedding gifts, corporate office redesign, memorials, and Christmas gifts. It was also thrilling to find new homes for my paintings of Audrey Hepburn, Jackie Kennedy, Gary Clark Jr., and a few cityscapes of Palm Beach, among others. The cherry on top was being featured on Fox 2 News in St. Louis!

After the Palm Beach season ended in May, I visited three new countries - Portugal, Norway, and Sweden - and returned to New York City after a five-year absence to experience the Met, Guggenheim, and Whitney Museums for the very first time. Many bucket list items were checked off the list and I am happy to share details if any of those destinations are on your radar.

Last but not least, 2023 was the year of unique fundraising experiences. I had the pleasure of painting live at the new MLS soccer stadium in St. Louis, which raised almost $10,000 at auction for breast cancer patients. Other donations led to exhibiting at the Norton Art Museum in West Palm Beach and an airplane hangar in Boca Raton. But, nothing was more of a once-in-a-lifetime moment than dancing at Mar-a-Lago for the Cancer Alliance of Help & Hope. I hand-painted my costume and I am very proud of my trophy for the Most Artistic Performance!

Enjoy New Year’s Eve and please keep an eye out for my next newsletter in a few weeks, where I will be announcing my upcoming group art show as well as a secret project I have been developing for the better part of a year.

Thank you and Happy New Year!
Kyle
